Call For Artwork
Dear fellow creative,
Perhaps you knew Tom well or perhaps only in passing did you see him painting. Either way you understand how important art was to him and is to you. How it enriches your life in so many ways and the lives of those around you. We would like to ask that you consider donating an original work of art to help us reach our goal. This truly is a gift that will continue giving as your contribution will be part of a self-sustaining fund that will bring art to the lives of others for years to come, as Tom did. Plus, through this website and the fundraising art exhibit to be held this summer on Block Island, your work will be seen far and wide.
We wish to encourage artists from a wide range of disciplines to donate work. From painters and sculptors to jewelers and ceramicists to photographers and designers. If yours is a creative talent, please consider giving!!
Artist's work that sells will receive a tax deductible credit from RISD for the amount that the work was purchased. (details below).
To Make A Donation
We are gratefully accepting and receiving donations now.
Please email a picture of your donation in the form of a jpeg to [email protected] Please title the image with your name -e.g., john_smith.jpeg. In the email, please include title of the piece, dimensions if applicable, medium and actual retail value. A short one paragraph description/bio can also be included and will be posted online with the image.
This image will be placed on our site and the work will be listed for sale with an incentive of 20% off the retail price. The fundraising exhibit will be held on Block Island August 13th at Smuggler's Cove from 5-7PM. We ask that artists please make certain the donated work remains available from the time of donation through the summer exhibit if need be.

This year the banking is streamlined and the artists will not have any follow up to perform. Also, artists will receive a tax deduction for the amount their donation is purchased.
The process of the silent auction will be identical to last year.
To donate work please email the above listed information to - [email protected]
*Shipping and handling, when needed, should be handled as a separate transaction between artist and buyer.
